Careers In Horticulture 

Careers in Horticulture is a community development program in the Bayview-Hunter's Point neighborhood of San Francisco. We began in 2007 as an initiative of San Francisco Foliage.

Careers in Horticulture has an ambitious agenda. We aim to be the missing link between the aspirations of Bayview residents for employment and the career-paths greenhouse  enterprises have to offer. Careers in Horticulture offers youth program, job training and inspiration to neighborhood residents, and is a resource for skilled employees.
Our 2012 internship program is held in partnership with Five Keys Independence High, a program of Five Keys Charter School. 
In 2010, Careers in Horticulture hosted our first Interior Landscape Training course. Over a dozen residents learned the basics of the interior landscape business from qualified industry professionals.

In 2011, we began offering an our after-school internship for youth. Local kids receive valuable job experience along with their first paycheck, while earning credit toward their high school diploma or GED.
